Summer Papers (my first of the Great Works)
The Book Thief Analysis
This was one of my summer works; it is not one of my best works, but I think it shows how much progress I've made with my writing style, syntax and diction. In this paper, I write about how everything happens for a reason in books especially in the book, The Book Thief.

Creative Papers
Five Things Paper
This was one of my favorite papers to create. I am a very creative person, so writing poems comes naturally to me. My Five Things Paper focuses on the five sense that a soccer player experiences before, during and after a game. I made sure that a couplet is followed by another couplet to let the reader feel like he/she is whizzing through the poem due to the rhyming.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Movie Review
In class we watched the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and wrote a movie review on it. It was enjoyable to write this movie review and I consider it creative because it does not follow the typical paper format.

Analysis Papers
Foster Application Paper
My best work, by far, was my Foster Application Paper. It's filled with Foster's theories and how they can apply to any book, but in my paper I specifically talked about how it applies to the book, Moby Dick. Read the paper to the left to learn more about Foster's theories and to learn how to look deeper into literature.

Pivotal Passage Paper
My Pivotal Passage Paper is a great example of how to analyze quotes. I read the short story, Metamorphosis, and chose two different quotes that reinforced the dehumanization of the main character. I really liked this paper because it gives an example of how to analyze quotes and find the deeper meaning.

Star Wars the Movie and Antigone Analysis

This is my paper that combines a movie analysis and also a play analysis. I really enjoyed writing this paper because it was interesting analyzing and comparing a modern film to a classic play. The film, Star Wars, and the play, Antigone, both have the similar theme of a Godly being; in the Movie it's "the force" and in the play it's the many Gods that were thought to control everyday life. Each story, no matter the time gap, has a supreme presence of a powerful being.
Wizard of Oz Analysis

In this analysis paper, I wrote about The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and how it is all about the journey. Just like in the book Foster, there is always a quest and in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, I discuss how desires fuel this journey to a better life.
